I don't know about you but I have been a documentary lover for as long as I can remember. Thanks to YouTube and other platforms where I can find what I need to feed my soul, get inspired and encouraged, or learn something new.
These past few weeks I have been watching some inspiring documentaries that I am sharing with you below.
MADE IN AFRICA
Early this week, Tongoro the Senegalese fashion brand MADE IN AFRICA by Sarah Diouf shared with the world this beautiful fashion documentary unfolding its journey since 2016. It is a very inspiring story, encouraging all of us to continue believing in our mother Africa and support this rich continent.
The brand will celebrate its 4th anniversary on May 25, 2020 which is also the Africa day. Well done Sarah!
#IAMSERGEIBAKA
This mini-series displays the lifestyle of the famous Congolese professional basketball player Serge Ibaka, who plays for the Toronto Raptors of NBA.
If you want to get to know more about Serge, it is a great opportunity, plus it is super fun to watch.
The documentary was produced by Elvis Adidiema, you can find the episodes via the hashtag #iamsergeibaka on Instagram.
LES GOURMANDISES DE KARELLE
Do you know this fun couple? This is Karelle, a French girl from Benin who moved to Senegal with her partner (Olivier) and started a food blog called Les gourmandises de Karelle . A few years later, they were able to monetize that blog and became influencers in West Africa.
The Ivorian tv channel RTI interviewed them and other influencers based in Africa in their show made in Africa . Find it here.
p.s: this report is 100% in French, I hope it does not stop you to watch.
I hope this will INSPIRE YOU in the pursuit of your dreams.
